Dynamic lessons at Communicate

At Communicate School of English, we have been helping learners improve their English language skills since 2010. So what can you expect from a Communicate lesson? Here, we explain more about our use of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) and how this impacts your lessons and your learning.

CLT emphasises the importance of communication and equips you with real-life skills needed each and every day. This keeps our lessons meaningful and dynamic, all within a supportive and enthusiastic teaching environment. We use technology for interactive activities such as Kahoot quizzes, watching and producing videos, as well as as Padlet for collaborative, creative tasks.

You won’t always be sat at a desk either – our teachers make the most of our central Manchester location and great school facilities to put your learning into action. Whether you’re learning how to give directions, form questions, or use comparative and superlative adjectives, we design dynamic CLT activities to build both your language and confidence.

We have a wide variety of materials to support a varied, communicative classroom, too. You can expect to use magazines, newspapers, songs and other authentic texts, and even have the opportunity to create your own. Discussions, dialogues, role plays, surveys, and interviews all give you the chance to express your creativity whilst encouraging interaction, refining interpersonal skills and ultimately developing your use of English.

At Communicate, we use a range of tasks and materials to keep lessons engaging and dynamic, and there’s never a dull moment at the school! This is why we have so many satisfied students, and why we have an international reputation for practicality, positivity, and progress.
